No. 3
Curiosity before certainty.
One of the beautiful things about relationships is that no matter how long we’ve known someone, there is always more to discover.
It’s easy to believe we already know what our partner is thinking. We fill in the blanks, interpret their silence, or assume we understand why they reacted the way they did.
Sometimes we’re right. But sometimes certainty quietly closes the door to curiosity.
Curiosity invites us to ask another question. To listen a little longer. To wonder instead of conclude.
Perhaps that’s part of what keeps relationships alive. We never truly finish discovering one another. Our experiences shape us, our dreams evolve, our fears shift, and even the way we experience intimacy can change over time.
There is something wonderfully exciting about realizing the person beside us is still someone we get to explore. Not because they are a mystery to solve… but because they are a person who continues to grow.
A Question to Carry with You
What is something about someone you love that you’re curious to discover or understand more deeply?
